GlobalFest 2012: Despite Weather Scares, China Delivers Big Show for Fireworks Festival; Brazil Prepares for Calgary Debut

+Despite numerous weather reports calling for thundershowers, Chinese pyrotechnicians, Vulcan Display Fireworks Ltd., hosted the third night of GlobalFest’s 10th Anniversary Celebration at Elliston Park tonight with a grand fireworks celebration. Brazil will follow on August 22nd with Wednesday’s show titled “Tropicalia”. Vision Show Ltd. is fresh off the heels of an incredible performance at Vancouver’s Celebration of Light with GlobalFest at Elliston Park marking the second stop on their Canadian tour.
From 6:00PM – 9:00PM the GlobalFest 2012 OneWorld Festival hosts 15 Cultural Pavilions, 12 Ethnic Food Booths, 4 Performance Stages (including a new Urban Arts Stage), an International Café & Bar, and a Kiddie’s Korral packed with kid-friendly entertainment.
GlobalFest tickets and passes can be purchased at all Calgary Co-op Customer Service Offices, Marlborough Mall, Alberta London Drugs Locations, and at the on-site Box Offices. Please note that fireworks can be postponed due to any conditions that organizers may feel jeopardize public safety. The alternate performance is the day after the regularly scheduled performance.
