GlobalFest 2012: Despite Rain, USA Launches “Pops in the Park”, a Pyromusical Set to Top 40; GlobalFest Prepares for Big Finale Show on Sunday
(Calgary, AB)
USA’s Pyrotecnico, Inc. launched an action-packed pyromusical featuring hit singles from some of the radio’s top-selling artists. Audiences cheered as fireworks set to the music of Rhianna, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, FloRida, the Foo Fighters, and the Black Keys played throughout the park.
Meanwhile, GlobalFest prepares for one of their biggest shows ever with Sunday’s Finale Presentation. For the first time ever in GlobalFest’s 10-year history, the organization will be going live with the fireworks featuring bagpipers and a 20-piece string ensemble courtesy of Kensington Sinfonia.
From 6:00PM – 9:00PM the GlobalFest 2012 OneWorld Festival hosts 15 Cultural Pavilions, 12 Ethnic Food Booths, 4 Performance Stages (including a new Urban Arts Stage), an International Café & Bar, and a Kiddie’s Korral packed with kid-friendly entertainment.
GlobalFest tickets and passes can be purchased at all Calgary Co-op Customer Service Offices, Marlborough Mall, Alberta London Drugs Locations, and at the on-site Box Offices. Please note that fireworks can be postponed due to any conditions that organizers may feel jeopardize public safety. The alternate performance is the day after the regularly scheduled performance.
